Privacy Policy

Who I am.

My name is Colin Temple. This site is a personal outlet for some of my creative and professional work. As a professional working in digital analytics, I’m acutely aware of the privacy implications of online activity, and that’s informed my choices in this policy.

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from (the “Site”).

Data collection

When you visit this site, it will record some information about your use of it, including information about your web browser, your IP address and time zone. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, and information about how you interact with the Site.

You will also be prompted for consent to collect site analytics data. If granted, slightly more detailed information will be shared, such as what websites or search terms referred you to the Site. With consent, a cookie (a small piece of information) will be placed on your device, so that future activity on this website results in recognition, in the data, that the individual device that recorded information in your previous session is the same as any subsequent use of the site.

This information is here referred to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”. No device information is recorded, with or without your consent, that leaves any individual personally identifiable.

Overall, I collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • “Tags” or “pixels” are requests sent by your web browser to services we employ to record information about how you browse the Site. On this site, Google Analytics is used to record this information.

Additionally when you fill out my contact form, make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, I collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, and any other information you voluntarily supply in that form. This information is here referred to as “Contact Information”.

When this policy refers to “Personal Information”, this means both Device Information and Order Information.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. I am not in control of how those websites obtain or use your data.

Who I share your data with

I only share your Personal Information with third parties in ways that enable me to use it as described above. I use Google Analytics to help understand how many people visit my site and how people use my site.

You can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here:

You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here:

Finally, I may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information that I receive, or to otherwise protect my rights.

What I use your information for

Where provided, I may use your personal information to:

  • Communicate with you;
  • Screen activity for potential risk or fraud; and
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared, provide you with information or advertising relating to my content, products or services.

I use the Device Information that I collect to help me screen for potential risk and fraud, and more generally to improve and optimize my Site (for example, by generating analytics about how people browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of marketing and advertising I might do).
